Author Classroom Visit

Service details:

A high-energy classroom presentation where students learn how books are created and how authors develop story ideas.

Includes:

• Interactive reading from a published book
• Behind-the-scenes look at how stories are created
• Introduction to the three essential parts of storytelling

Young Author Writing Competition

Schools can extend the impact of the Young Authors Writing Workshop by adding a Student Writing Competition where students submit original stories. This experience gives students the opportunity to apply what they’ve learned, continue writing, and receive recognition for their work.

The competition creates excitement across classrooms while reinforcing writing skills and student voice. Schools often combine this with literacy week, National Reading Month, or writing units.

Session 2 – Story Development
Students write the beginning, middle, and ending using a guided framework.
