From Idea to Author is a comprehensive publishing workshop designed specifically for young writers in grades 3-8. In just four weeks, your child will go from a spark of an idea to holding their very own professionally printed book in their hands.

Yes! We encourage creativity and original ideas. Students can write fiction (fantasy, adventure, mystery, realistic fiction) or creative non-fiction. Content should be age-appropriate.

The finished book will be 16-25 pages (not including front and back covers). This is the perfect length for young authors to complete a full story arc without feeling overwhelmed.

Your child's book will be professionally printed in full color with a glossy cover, perfect-bound (like a real book from a bookstore), approximately 8" x 10" format.

If your child is serious about writing and wants the experience of being published on a major platform, yes! It's a significant accomplishment they can reference on college applications, and family/friends can purchase copies directly from Amazon. However, the Standard Package is also a complete and valuable experience.

Yes! As long as your child can join via Zoom from wherever you are and complete the homework, they can participate. All sessions are also recorded for flexibility.
